Sly Wally Has Some Thoughts About MJ
How do you recover from the loss of Michael Jackson?
Michael Jackson was bigger than life. He was the icon of 80’s icons. How do you recover from such a loss?
I have been contemplating this question since about 1995 when he released HIStory and received my answer in 2001 when he crapped out Invincible.
The “icon” was now just a parody of himself, a shadow of his former poppy greatness.
Lamenting the loss of MJ has been taking place for a long time and I am loath to continue this tradition much longer.
His strange death and the shadows of circling vultures, namely his SOB of a father Joe Jackson, are signaling that it is time to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the MJ saga. I shall let it pass and allow his memory fade much like his skin.
I will raise a pint today in memory of the formerly great Michael Jackson, despite his many idiosyncrasies and the allegations of child molestation, and will lament his passing as the former “King of Pop”.
